Abstract
Primary actinomycosis of the breast is an uncommon disorder, however, it must be taken into account in the differential diagnosis of chronic breast abscess and malignancy, especially in in-tractable breast abscess. We report a case of a 28yearold woman presented with palpable non-tender mass in the left breast who was diagnosed by tissue biopsy as primary actinomycosis. The patient was successfully treated with intravenous ceftriaxone for 3 weeks, followed by oral ampicillin for 3 months.
